Living One Day at a Time

This month I am one of the audit staff assigned for a new audit engagement. Our client is a maker of Bedroom Furniture, Bedroom Sets and Modern Beds which are really great in designs. For a prof look at the sample picture above.

I visited our client’s office yesterday for our preliminary planning. In addition, since my aunt’s place was with in the area, I gave her a surprise visit. She was so glad to see me. She prepared me a sumptuous dinner and we had a long talk. It is just sad I could not stay for the night.

I went to help my friend in his new business venture. He is now importing great and elegant designer furniture. This is what he dream for even when we were still in college, to have his own business.

We organized a showroom for a Living Room Furniture, a Bedroom Furniture, and Dinning Room Furniture. It was tiring but fulfilling as well. We got many orders! My friend thanks me for that and treats me for a short trip in the spa center this coming weekend. It should not that be, I am already pleased that I help him in my own little way.

My sister was invited by her friends for a golf play this weekend. She was hesitant to go since she is not quiet good with this sport. So we got dad’s Cobra golf equipments and tried to practice at the nearby golf course. Tomorrow dad will be with us to teach us more. Hoping my sister will be ready with the play this weekend.

This morning my boss initiated a donation giving to our co-employee whose mother is suffering a heart ailment -a mitral valve ailment actually. Mitral valve is the dual flap in the heart located  between the left atrium and the left ventricle. She needs either a mitral valve repair or a mitral valve replacement.

We all gave some amount to help. I believe the whole accounting department will visit her mom this afternoon.

My architect, interior designer, furniture designer, author friend has launched his first ever book. Its called Modern Furniture- a variety of styles. I attended his book launching yesterday at the hotel, I got the chance to rub elbows with some furniture tycoons and a lot of high profiled people- those whom you see in the news lately! ;-) 

Last night I had the time to read my friend’s book. I am overwhelmed by the way he wrote. My favorites were his discussions about Living rooms and bedrooms. I also like the photos of tables and closets. His ideas were fresh and unique. Its really a good read!
