Living one day at a time

My sister’s 19th birthday was last Tuesday. She is living in the city because she is studying there, but she comes home on weekends when she is not busy. Since it’s her birthday was on Tuesday, she was with us last weekend for her advance birthday celebration. When dad told me about his surprise for my sister, the Acer Aspire she had wanted to own, I thought of a plan surprising her. A few days before weekend, we already told her that her birthday celebration will not be that grand when she turned 18. Only few of her friends will be invited and we will cook dinner at home. So, it looked like she had a simple celebration. The surprise came on Tuesday, my dad shipped his gift through the one day shipping service. My sister was so surprised when she had her gift. She immediately called us up thanking. It was really fun. We are all glad she liked the surprise.

Every time I go home to the country side, I would see to it that my loved ones are free so that I can spend time with them. I have been working and living in the city for quite sometime and aside from the holidays, I can go back home every four months and stay there for a week. This weekend is my sister’s eighteenth birthday and I bought some unique gifts for her that she can use now that she has become into a lady. I bet she will love the make up kit and the beauty products. But most of all I am excited to see my parents and be with them for a week.

My dad asked me to buy him those discount cigars sold online for his friend who is celebrating his 60th birthday. But I could not get a network connection. When I called up my sister who is using the same internet network provider services, she said her connection was fine. So I called up the customer care to ask about my internet connection. To my surprise, I didn’t pay the bill for last month! I forgot to pay it because I have not received their notice of disconnection. Right there and then, I went to pay my bill got my connection back the same day. Whew! That was so embarrassing! LOL!

Last weekend, I went shopping on baby gifts for the baby shower party of my friend. We will be hosting a surprise party for her at the office. My other officemates organize some party games and the others will prepare the foods. We also invited her husband to come as her surprise guest. I hope she will like and enjoy our simple surprise for her.

My brother in law will get married next year and we were asked to be in the entourage as bridesmaid and groomsmen aside from junior bridesmaid and groomsmen. The couple are excited at the same time stress out with the preparation. As part of the celebration we the girls will host the shower party. Hubby also helping his brother in the preparations like buying groomsmen gift as an appreciation, gratitude and a thank you to all the groomsmen who take the time to be a part of the wedding celebration.  I know this affair will be successful as everyone are there to extend a help.
