Valentine Plans

Friends Comments Off

My single friends and I had been celebrating the red letter day with each other for the last three years. It actually started when one of my friends, who was celebrating her birthday called for a Valentine dinner at her house. All her single friends that time attended her Valentine party. From then on, everytime Heart’s Day comes, my single friends would plan a party at one’s house, with the idea that Valentines day is not only for lovers but also for single friends! :-) The first time we celebrated Valentines together, we were all more than ten that time. But last year we were only six. Oh well.. LOL…

This coming Valentines, I think it will be just the three of us to celebrate it. I told the two I will be the one to be in charged of our date. I think we should go out and have fun even though we are not romantically involved. I already bought Valentine Concert Tickets of a local stand-up comedian here in our place. It will be a Valentines that is full of laughter. I believe there is no need to be all sentimental on that day, especially that we don’t have romantic partners to celebrate it with. I guess we will just enjoy the night with ourselves. :-)

Adopt a friend

Friends, Life Comments Off

When you like to make extra brightness in your life, adopt a friend. A child or an elderly, a foreign penpal, someone who needs help, prayer and thoughts. Then communicate with your friend every week through letter, phone call, email or a visit. Let them know that you care and a friend to them.

3. Diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance, its precursor, may become more likely.
4. The ticker is put at risk. A 2003 study found that heart attacks were 45 percent more likely in women who slept for five or fewer hours per night than in those who got more.
5. Blood pressure may increase.
6. Auto accidents rise.
7. Balance is off. Older folks who have trouble getting to sleep, who wake up at night, or are drowsy during the day could be 2 to 4.5 times more likely to sustain a fall.
8. You may be more prone to depression.
