Living one day at a time

Ever wonder that things inside a room change the appearance of the place? I was not really into interior designing until my friend introduced me to it. Now, when I look at a place or a room, I notice the details –from the furniture to the walls, floor and ceiling. I appreciate the designs which are creatively and uniquely designed. I criticize those that I don’t like. I love seeing how colors and shapes are combined to form a masterpiece design. I really did not enroll in a formal interior designing school. I just read a lot of books and talked to people knowledgeable about art and designs. I really learned a lot. I was the one who designed the inside of the house –from the walls, flooring, furniture, etc. I was actually amazed when I saw the outcome. The comment was as if it was designed by an expert. Whoa! LOL!

Last weekened, my friend –the one who introduced me to interior designing, came to visit me at the office to ask me if she can refer me to one of our friends who needs an interior designer for his soon to open restaurant. I told him he can’t because I am still amateur in the field, and besides, I didn’t have a formal education. But he was insisting because of what I’ve done with my house. Eventually, I decided to say yes but as an assistant to him only. I will not be the one who will be the over-all in charged.
