Living one day at a time

I got an invitation for dinner from my grand aunt yesterday afternoon. I was just surprise because I don’t remember something to celebrate on Saturday. She only gather the whole clan on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. I was trying to call her but I cant connect thru her land line. When I asked my dad about it, he told me its my grand aunt’s birthday! I was thinking some other date! My, how terrible of me! Am I getting really old? Me and my forgetful mind!

So after work a while ago, I strolled inside the mall to find the nicest gift for my 64 yr old beloved grant aunt. I found a lovely music box from a gift shop beside the wine shop where I got two bottles of fine red and white wine settled in Wine Gift Baskets -also for her. When I got home they were so excited to see what I bought. Their excitement dropped when I told them I have to prolong the surprise because my gift has already been wrapped at the gift shop. Haha!

My mom together with my sister and me have decided to have our kitchen reorganized by ourselves. Equipped with my interior design knowledge I acquired in art school (though I’m a dropped out! Haha!), we first cleared the area with the use of cleaning machines. After which, we rearranged the kitchen cabinets and tables, exchanged places kitchen appliances, painted some areas, etc. We finished everything before dinner.

When we were about to eat dinner, we realized we have only enough housewares and kitchen wares. We discarded many because its a need to replace them. Its just sad many were bought more than a month ago. My mom suggested we use her friend’s Housewares and Home Maintence Products Buying Guide to ensure the long lasting quality of the products that we would be buying the next day. So we did and I guess we bought the best quality kitchen wares and other home products we needed. How nice it is to do things in our new-looking kitchen and use our new housewares…
