Living One Day at a Time

0ne time I received a call because my assistant was out. For a while, I thought it was a call from a male advertiser. So I told him I was not interested. Then, after a while, he called again to tell me that my assistant’s order of diet pills had already been processed and that she will be receiving the merchandise tomorrow.

My assistant was laughing when I told her what happened. Then, curiously, I asked her why does she still take diet pills when in fact she has a nice body figure. She informed me its for her friend who is obese.

I hope the diet pills will work, so that her friend won’t suffer the consequences of obesity.

I already finalized my self made blueprint of the improvement of our front lawn for the summer. Since the kids had always been in our house during summer, I designed a kid friendly playing area. I planned to put swing sets and a sand box under the big shady tree, so that they will be playing under the shade.

I cant wait to see how their faces light up when they will see the new place.

Summer has always been the best season for us. It’s the time of the year where we get to spend a longer period with our love ones, as compared with the holidays. It’s a time also to enjoy cooking, eating and feasting in our garden. Kids have summer vacations and often times we get summer work leaves. And most of these free times are spent at our home while bonding with the whole family.

For this summer, I am planning to have our lawn get a new landscape. More grass and plants should be added. I am also thinking of putting a sand box and a seesaw on the left side corner for the kids and outdoor furniture on the opposite side. And lately I will not forget to avail the best toast ovens for a convenient cooking. I’m sure everyone; especially the women in our clan will enjoy preparing meals on our family day on summer time.

During one of the kids overnight weekend in our house, I planned a Disney movie marathon for them. We called it a movie, popcorn, waffle and ice cream-pajama party. Different brands of micro waved popcorns and different flavors of ice cream with waffles were served. I was able also to use my christmas gift, the best waffle maker and it pays for it thanks to my best friend who gave it to me.

As we were watching, I noticed one of my nieces was too closed to the TV screen while watching. I told her to find a more comfortable place because she was too close and that she was prone to the TV’s radiation. Then she started asking her unending series of why-questions when I told her she might end up using high grade lenses instead of eyeglasses when she gets older because of eye damage. After about half an hour of explaining, she finally got the point and went to sit beside me to watch.

Babysitting is hard but fulfilling especially when you succeed in teaching the kids with important things.

0ne Friday night I went to have a sleep over at my older sister’s house. The night was spent bonding with my nephews and nieces. In the morning of the next day, we went to the park early for a walk. The sun was still rising when we got there. After participating at the park’s free aerobics class, we went on jogging around the park. We took Jacob, their Dalmatian pet dog with us. We were happy playing when someone bumped my right shoulder. Both of us were surprise to see each other while saying how sorry we are. I bumped into my old boss. She was my superior in my first job. She told me that she just came back from Austria, where she spent a month long vacation. She also went to Hungary to let her teeth under go some laser based process to make them perfectly white. She discovered that one can Save Money with Dentists in Hungary. It’s so affordable to enjoy the services of the dentist there. She was also suggesting that if I have the opportunity to travel, I should go to Hungary to get my teeth pampered there. As she spoke, I noticed her perfectly pearly white teeth glistening like those in toothpaste commercials. She didn’t have these when I was working with her. She had off white turning to yellow teeth because she was a coffee addict then and a chain smoker as well. She said I sh0uld contact her if I plan to go to Hungary. I can go with her because she will be going back there early next year. I told her I will think about it. Then she asked me my where about. We kinda updated each other for an hour and a half.

I went home with the kids contemplating about visiting a dentist in Hungary. As a self confessed teeth enthusiast, who doesn’t think about the expenses when it comes to caring for my teeth, I wonder how much will it cost me to go in Hungary with my younger sister? Hmmm..
