Our Marketing Company sponsored a weekend inspirational seminar the other week. One of the most striking topic was called “meeting God for the First Time“ It tackled about our first encounter with God in our mature self. Meaning, the start of believing deep in our hearts, God’s presence in our lives. One of the resource speaker shared how his life had transformed tremendously when he met the Lord. His life before was like hell, as he described. He was a professional burglar at the age of 13. At 15, he was already into using and pushing drugs and car napping and at 16, he became an unwed father. He continued his sinful life until at the age of 19, he got caught by the authorities and brought to a drug rehabilitation center. There he met the Lord for the first time. He was given a Holy Bible but he never touched it until one time he was so bored, he went to scan the pages. Then he read the holy book on the page where the story of the prophet Samuel (1Samuel 3:1-10). When he was reading it, he felt the presence of God, as if He was calling him by his name. He knew from then on what the Lord wants him to do. To spread the love of God to everyone.
