Living One Day at a Time

The Christmas party, red carpet style at the office last December 22 was a blast. The food was great and wine flooded the entire party. A lot us showcased our hidden talents during the short program. The dating game played by my single officemates was fun. The winners’ prize was a Christmas date for two at Madison’s Grill. Awww…How romantic!

Everyone was grateful for my gifts during the gift giving ceremony. I got lots of gifts too. But the highlight of the party was the recognition awards ceremony held during the last part. Being with them for a long time, my new boss colaborated with me in giving some awards to my officemates. Everyone was delighted to get their individual awards. I thought I won’t get one, but my boss gave me “a diva award,” because I got the highest score at the video-oke machine. Haha!

Life is full of surprises… May Boxing day reveal, only the sweet and pleasant one’s for you!

In other countries they celebrating Boxing day, a day when people would give a present or Christmas box to those who had worked for them throughout the year. This is a traditional celebration, dating back to the Middle Ages, and consists of the practice of giving out gifts to their employees.

Every New Year’s Day, our whole clan gather together for a family reunion. Last year, it was celebrated at our house but many of our relatives didn’t make it. This year we are hoping everyone will be present. The reunion will be held at my aunt’s newly renovated house. She won a cash prize in a raffle promo that’s why she gave her house a new look. I heard she has a new set of kitchen furniture which she bought from Designer Kitchens. I ‘m so thrilled to see her house and everyone who will attend our get together.

I prepared a lot of parlor games for the kids and for the adults as well. Grandma prepared a lot of prices too. Mom and Dad will be distributing our family calendar and Grandpa prepared a hip hop dance number together with the kids. Yahoo! I love family reunions!

Yesterday was the second day of Christmas here and I like to greet everyone specially my relatives and friends I often see. I miss you all…

Through the year, we’re often busy with our lives from day to day. And we just can’t seem to find the time for things we’d like to say. That’s why Christmas is so welcome for the special chance it brings. To say everyone are thought of often and wished all life’s happy things!
