Living one day at a time

Yesterday was the last day of work for my boss. Her three year term of being our business development manager has come to an end. She’ll be going back to our main office in Australia tomorrow. Me and an officemate constructed a farewell party for her after office hours. I made a send off power point presentation which made everyone shed some tears, especially her. We will surely miss her. After that, all and sundry had the chance to say his farewell message. I thanked her for the wonderful working relationship with her. She was not only a boss to me. She was also a friend and a mother. When I told her, she was my favorite boss, she answered, “I am your only boss. I should be your favorite!”

She turned red when I handed her my farewell gift. My gift card read: To my favorite boss. For your steaming and playful nights! She laughed hard when she saw what’s inside the gift box. A women’s lingerie named “FISHNET”! Haha!

December is the busiest month of the year, not only because it’s the holidays, but because it’s year end. Piles of papers are on my table waiting to be touched! Since, work should be done first before anything else, I have to budget my time for work, personal stuff and Christmas shopping. A lot of my gifts to be distributed were bought from the shops. My uncle called in the phone today to greet us for the Christmas day. We had a long talked over the phone since he only called once a year during Christmas day. We talked about life here and their life there. I have learned they bought in Alabama land for sale For their new house since they wanted to move in Alabama where his new job. My auntie is also finding a new job there when they will finally move. He has two children and by next year the oldest will graduate in high school. He invited us also to visit them when they move to Alabama. I told him why not if he will spend everything for us. lol!
