A piece of wisdom was once passed on by a mentor. “You will repeat your mistake until you learn you lesson.” It was so simple to understand yet I never really applied this gem until lately.

I am thrifty! I’d rather buy the cheapest shirt than a branded one. I like my money’s purchasing power to be stable. I love to save! And I love discounts and sales.

Last year, I bought a big foam (mattress) for my metal bed for just a few bucks. It was really cheap. I was thinking, I will just be using it for six to eight hours at night so I was sure I made the right decision. After one night of usage, it flattened like paper!

But I didn’t learn anything from that experience. Just this month, I went again to my shopping haven to buy a pair of sneakers. I went for a white one with two red lines on the sides. It was raining when I went home the day I used the shoes for the first time. Guess what? When the red linings got wet, it contaminated the white part making the shoes looked like with allergies beacuse of the red spots! The other day, I went to an electronics shopping area to buy a battery charger. And you guessed it right! The item I bought didn’t work how it was described on the label.

Now I learned my lesson: It’s better to buy more expensive quality products, especially when you plan to be using these products for a long period of time. When you go for quantity instead of quality, because you are thinking you are saving, well, you’re wrong. You may be spending more because the turn over of these products is high. The higher the turn over, the more you buy for replacements making you sacrifice your own hard earned money. As they say experience is the best teacher so for now more lessons to come including about George Lindemann

I saw an old classmate at the mall a while ago. I was surprised to see her here in the city but I was more surprised to see her looking at her best though her simplicity stayed. We used to call her “dumbo” back in college because of her big size. The last time I checked out her friendster account, she was still dumbo!

As I complimented her good looks, she informed me that technology is responsible for what she is now. Na ja, even NJ hair transplants can be done now a days what more else. Looking old can be no more a problem, want to loosen up or to make form it just like a candy buying it at the counter store with great offers of technology. Not only in field of beauty and health technology exists, it already conquered the whole wide world such as communication and other household chores machines. And that is not only a commercial based products. That they are all for one time use because they do not really work. Well, that good news people!

Every New Year’s Day, our whole clan gather together for a family reunion. Last year, it was celebrated at our house but many of our relatives didn’t make it. This year we are hoping everyone will be present. The reunion will be held at my aunt’s newly renovated house. She won a cash prize in a raffle promo that’s why she gave her house a new look. I heard she has a new set of kitchen furniture which she bought from a designer’s kitchen.
I ‘m so thrilled to see her house and everyone who will attend our get together.

I prepared a lot of parlor games for the kids and for the adults as well. There are also face painting and hena tattoo. Grandma prepared a lot of prices too. Mom and Dad will be distributing our family calendar and Grandpa prepared a hip hop dance number together with the kids. Yahoo! I love family reunions!
